1pm
With Roxanne by The Police playing in my headphones I just started building my bankroll at Poker Heaven. Starting at a weak $10 deposit I have decided to play Sit & Go’s until passing $30, if I make it that far. Honestly, the whole grinding game, building up your stack over a longer period of time has never been my particular strength; the essential skill in mastering online poker. When I played the most, a few years back, I was always the most successful at 1-time deposits playing shorthanded cash games shortstack on semi-high levels. And though I managed to build my bankroll then too, from $200 to $2000 several times, I tended to jump levels always playing with the majority of my bankroll. This of course led to the inability to handle the losses after suffering some serious bad beats.
But today I’m taking a different approach, starting with a small deposit and the prospect of some serious grinding. Initially however, I will use my whole bankroll hopefully dotching the bad beats and reaching $30 before sitting down at the cash game tables and playing with smaller per cent of my bankroll.
I’m already down $6, leaving a mere $4 of which I just invested $3 into a shorthanded NL Holdem Speed Sit & Go. 3 players left. Wish me luck!

3pm
Outdrawn on a all-in pre-turn in the Sit & Go I couldn’t help but sit down at a cash game. Depositing an extra $20 and using the Find Player function I located no other than LeChesee sitting at a $0.25/0.50 NL Holdem table hammering away. After a couple of hands I was down to about $15 when I got KK. Worth mentioning is that the last couple of sessions have been quite dry on monster hands, resulting in hours throwing 10 3, J2 etc only to end up being outdrawn on a solid hand. This time was no different where my Kings went all in preflop only to be called by a pair Aces. Tough luck some might say, but I gotta say. My streak of bad beats is going epic on me. Back to $0, I suppose you’ll have to wait until next week when LeTune’s Bankroll Build Attempt #2 is initialized.

An unusually sick hand, considering the fact that the probability of hitting four of a kind, better yet a royal flush is 0,000240 Vs. 0,0000139. This showdown does not make it anymore easier to accept since it’s WSOP 2008 Main Event. But then again perhaps crazy hands like this belong in a context where the stakes are high and the players are professional. I would seriously go ballistic if I lost a huge pot with four Aces on Poker Heaven. I’m sure we all can agree how much that would sting. What makes this hand comical though is not only that comedian Ray Romano is sitting at the table, looking truly confused, but also the almost non-existing chance of these hands been dealt, never the less dealt in the same round.I can only thank the Poker Gods for televised poker, because a showdown like this should never go unnoticed. Especially since a Royal Flush is a hand only played by a lucky few. Watch the amazing hand:

A function I praise and one that PokerHeaven luckily feature in their client, is finding players. And that’s the first thing I did after crediting my bankroll with some Benjamins. Seconds later I was seated on a $0.25/0.50 cash table for some good ‘Ol no limit texas holdem. I had found LeCheese, fishing for chips in one of the dark corners of the poker room. Don’t ask me why I had typed in his nick in the Finding player search box. Subconsciously I guess I had something to prove. After all this was his blog and thinking about it, substituting for LeCheese is going to be some large shoes to fill (literally, his shoes are huge). Secondly I guess I wanted to prove to all you readers, who presumably miss his rambling words and early eliminations in the LeCheese Challenge.
So I have made it my mission, to step out of the shadow, slay my dragon and prove once and for all that LeTune is a poker player, forced to be reckoned with. If anybody is up for some heads-up action, simply comment place and time (preferably PokerHeaven)!
Here’s proof by the way. In a $4 pot, the win was certainly not about the money.

Tips: If you’re playing at PokerHeaven, look for doc75! See the empty seat to my right, that’s where doc75 was pounding away his chips. Not so many hand before the screenshot was taken LeCheese took him out.
If, after the first twenty minutes, you don’t know who the sucker at the table is, change table!/LeTune

It was decided over a game of Texas Holdem. And one stone cold bluff later here I am to substitute for LeCheese indefinitely. Name’s LeTune and I have every intention of picking up where LeCheese left off. You’ll find me at PokerHeaven where I will game around, build my bankroll, try to avoid bad beats and tilting. Whatever the outcome is you can be sure I’ll post it for proper analysis.
I look forward to hear your thoughts and if there’s anything in particular you wish me to address, don’t hesitate to email me or comment with suggestions. Hopefully, in a near future, we’ll arrange a LeTune Challenge with a proper LeTune bounty and a fine prize pool.
See you soon/LeTune

During May, players from RakeBrain have the opportunity to take down a piece of the ten thousand Euro Rakebrain has added to the game. Is that my chance to get back on track?
I’ve been just as unsuccessful at Poker Heaven as I’ve been in the Lecheese Poker Challenges, but I have the opportunity to win it back in May. On top of the game, and the regular rakeback, new and existing poker heaven players have the chance to take down some extra cash.
But it means around-the-clock grinding.
This is how it works:
The first 20 players to rake €500 receive a €100 bonus (€2,000 total)
The first 10 players to rake €2,000 receive a €400 bonus (€4,000 total)
The first 4 players to rake €5,000 receive a €1,000 bonus (€4,000 total)
Read more about the deal.

It wasn’t an utter humiliation this time, and for that I’m glad. But when I re-raised Jacsup with middle-connectors, and unfortunately enough ran into aces, it was all over. He made trip deuces on the river and I went out in 7th place. So much for the revenge.
So, the second Le Cheese Challenge is over.
Here comes a brief recap of the event after my sad departure:
When the game was four handed, Katitude lost in a brutal way. She was all in pre-flop with QQ against Jackup’s Tc8c. On the flop, Kat was in good shape with her over-pair, but the turn and river changed it all – T T – typically full tilt, so rigged and all that.
Please visit Katitude’s blog for hand history and some top-notch whining
Jacksup now had a bit over 20k against RakeBrain player Td8507 with 13k and Huntsvegas with 5k, and as the true gentlemen they are, they spent the following ten minutes swapping blinds with each other.
When the blinds were 250 – 500 (Omaha,) td8597 busted hutsvegas. They were all in pre-flop with AQQx against 3456 or something like that. Anyway, the board was all high cards and jacksup and td8597 could go into heads-up mode pretty even in chips.
A bit later, td8507 managed to get paid off with a full house and established a 3 to 1 chip lead.
In the last hand, td8507 bet out on the flop: 4h 7h 6d, and Jacksup raised all-in with a straight draw – Qd 5s. Td8507 called with 9h 3h.
The turn and river came: 9c Jc, and td8507 won the tournament with a little pair of nines.
Thanks everybody for a great tournament and see ya’ll next time.

A while ago, Rakebrain and I arranged a tournament called Le Cheese Challenge. We invited a few poker bloggers and a couple of Rakebrain players, and I felt quite confident in taking home the two-table sit-and-go. But I busted out first. Now the time for revenge has come.
Since that unfortunate torney a month ago, I have been on a losing streak and haven’t been able to get my game on track. Superstitious as I am, I think the problem lies in my terrible play in the Le Cheese Challenge. It messed up my game.
Two reverse the spell, there’s going to be another tournament at Full Tilt Poker on Thursday. The game is Hold’em/Omaha Hi with a $1,000 prize pool; and this time, I’ll probably win…

It has been silent here for a while. Inter Poker decided to lower my rakeback, so I turned elsewhere. I just opened a Poker Haven account, part of the Boss Media Network – a good site with decent player traffic.
The Omaha action at Poker Haven is focused to the turbo tables, which I think is a bit too fast at least when playing at many tables simultaneously. But players who are more experienced in the Omaha field might beg to differ.
As usual when I start playing at a new site, I lose. And this move obviously put a large dent in my bankroll.
This is due to bad calls and millions-of-outs-wrap-draws that never seem to fill up.
I’ll start struggling again.
Bankroll: $965
Rakeback: $348

I’ve played at Inter Poker for one and a half months and was planning on carrying on. The Omaha action has been quite decent and I like the software. But I just changed my mind. No more Cryptologic for me.
When I was looking up my rakeback, I saw that the network – Cryptologic – had decided to lower my rakeback from 39% to 30%. If I would have collected more than 1,000 MPPs during November, December or January, my rakeback deal would have stayed the same. Unfortunately, I’ve only collected 2,000 … but during February.
So obviously, my rakeback is lowered by almost 25%.
Well mr. Cryptologic, or whatever your name is, I got a rake deal for you: 0%!
I won’t rake another penny in your network. Feel free to take whatever cut you like.

I wish I could whine about a bad beat, but I can’t. I wish I could say that I got knocked out by a donkey, but also that would be a lie. The truth is I committed a large portion of my stack with top-bottom two pair in Omaha. Clever?
The expected value for folding was sky-rocketing when I decided that this was my hand. I mean, it was so obvious he had AA and nothing more. What did you say, top-two and two outs for me? You must be kidding…
The following hand I caught a set and doubled up. Back again. And the next I managed to get almost all my chips in with AAxx. The flop came J88 with two diamonds. I went all-in, Pking called with all sorts of outs, caught a full house on the river, and received the $100 bounty.
Never mind, this was a nice freeroll altogether. Although certain people seem to give the guy from Donkey Puncher a hard time…. don’t know why.
The LeCheese bracelet went to BadBlood – congratulations!
I’ll be back when it’s time for the next event: LeCheese Revenge.
Thanks y’all
