SitnGo’s & Tourneys Vs Cash game
Hey everybody!
The last couple of days I have been completely dedicated to sitngo’s and tournaments rather than focusing on my regular cash game. I always find it good to change my game a bit when things aren’t going my way at the cash game tables. It is more relaxing in a way, because compared to when I play cash game I normally have four tables up at the same time that requires my full attention. But as for a multi table sitngo or tournament I can allow myself to do other stuff during the game.
Of course real tournament play should be done with 100 % focus, but as an alternative to your regular cash game it fills a different purpose than just winning and sucking out as much chips from the fish as possible. I started doing this every time my bankroll was decreasing and I didn’t feel like reloading full buy-in at a cash table where I just got sucked out moments before. I started to sit down a multi table sitngo games where my tilt wouldn’t affect my game as much. 90 players, $3 buy-in, and I could have it in the background, only folding, calling, raising etc whenever I picked up a decent hand.
This more passive way of playing online poker is naturally not a winning strategy, but at least a good way to maintain play when bad beats make you feel like quitting.
