LeTune Challenge I - Results

Rakebrain.com sponsored poker tournament LeTune Challenge I kicked off yesterday at 7pm and it was all about action right from the start. Shortstacked, 1500 chips to start with and blinds increasing every 20 min or so, it took about 2 hours before 26 players had gone home and it was time for the final table. Myself was out at 8th place, close enough to smell that sweat prize money, on a very sick hand to say the least. But then again I had been barely been holding on during most of the tournament with only spontaneous monster hands to keep me above the 1000-chip bar. A little re-cap of some interesting/sick hands:

The future LeTune Challenge winner Pvanharibo flips over a set of aces against Numbbono’s set of 9’s at the final table!
A good example that shows that the dealer really delath good cards when I was in need. Here hitting my set all-in just before final table!

Karma was indeed acting in for Numbbono as we see him here hitting his set after calling StatikKings all-in pre-flop. Hands later he was all-in and ended in 6th place.

A sick sick sick hand. Though I had been shortstacked since the blinds crossed 50/100, I had made to the final table and winning this hand would mean 5940 in chips, a significant increase and a stack to actually do something with. I don’t blame TNS for calling since the mofo was pretty deepstacked, but I still cursed him in my sleep. Hope that bounty went to charity or something ;-)
After more than 3 hours of blood, sweat, tears; compliments and tilting outburstes exchanged in the chat window, the LeTune Challenge I reached its end. Here is the result list:

Congratulations to pvanharibo now the proud winner of LeTune Challenge I and $450. Mookie99 and TNSpacerman played a solid game of poker and though TNS kicked me out on a doubtful hand, it was a solid performance from all players. Just wait untill Letune Challenge II - I’ll be back. And I kept my promise after all - not worse than LeCheese :-)

On top of all that my weekly playing at Full Tilt has been far from prosperous. I have decided to blame it on the lack of proper hands and to see it as a session where despite correct play, those few outs have hit for my opponents.

Bankroll: $15
Rakeback: $6.62
