LeTune’s Bankroll Built Attempt #2
To be honest, my last attempt of building bankroll, failed miserably. Beginner mistake after beginner mistake. I boldly bet my whole bankroll to hopefully build it up fast and painlessly. But the poker game is a harsh reality. I know I’m sounding bitter and it’s only my ignorance to blame that I never seem to be able to play the online game 100 % right. But another day another dollar! A new week and Letune’s Bankroll Build Attempt #2 is already in motion. With about $50 fresh ones in my account I’ve just sat down at two sitngo tables.!
First game $5 SitnGo
With the cockiness of having a new bankroll I went all-in with AK hearts in middle position. Perhaps these bad boys look better alone and when I got called by the button with 77 my suspiciuons were confired. He had a pair, I had not and though the potential of AK suited is huge it kind of pales a little bit in comparison to any pre-flop pair. When the river came with neither Ace nor King nor flush nor straight, I left as 9 finisher in the 10 player tourney. Don’t really feel like it was a bad bet. However, on a any give Sunday I would rather be sitting on a pre-flop pair than a top suited connectors. The outs only differ by a few to the pair’s advantage. I’m starting to suspect I have a fondness for anything dressed in hearts.
Doing pretty good on the $10 SitnGo however so all is not lost. Don’t have so much time for playing today, as I am getting ready of some live play. We will be some 15 people in a game of NL Holdem. Winner takes home about $200. I will get back to you on that one. A good preparation for the LeTune Challenge that is coming soon
Just finished the $10 sitngo. 2nd place and back where I started with a couple of dollars plus. The guys at this table though were playing crazy. A three way all-in with 92 vs 93 vs 85 left me the only one not all-in. Mr. 93 won and had 12,000 in chips all of a sudden. My 2,400 didn’t cut it and after one doubling up I was beaten with my KQ against him pairing up his eights on the turn.

The Always-rule
I have also noticed that if you are a poker player like me, who have issues with sticking to the rules of winning poker, you should try the always-rule. Always fold an Ace with a low kicker for example. Always fold unsuited connectors in early position. I can make a doussin of these always-rules from bitter experience and it probably means less revenue in the long run but then again, what revenue?
