Is Omaha the New Hold em?
I’ve realized that it’s quite difficult to find really good hold’em games today, at least compared with the early 2000s. Most people seem to have grasped the essence of poker theory, and very few make those extremely stupid mistakes. Players are getting better.
I also think – but I’m far from sure about this – that players are better at the absolute lowest limits ($0.10/$0.20 or something) compared with players at, say, $025/$0.50. Has anyone thought about this?
Anyway, because of this, I have started to play Omaha, which is a quite new game for me. Even though I’m not a good player (yet hopefully), I can see that low-limit Omaha players make far more easy mistakes compared with their Hold’em cousins. A player with patience and a solid strategy should be able to beat most games.
Maybe I’ve just been lucky over the weekend, but my bankroll hasn’t grown this much since I started this rakebrain journey towards $10,000.
Current bankroll: $757
Rakeback: $177
