Why Isn’t It Always Xmas?
For poker players, Christmas is unbeatable. People are sitting at home, stuffed with food, shit faced, and completely tilted from heated arguments with strange relatives who seems top pop up from nowhere during Xmas.
When these people decide to sit down at the virtual poker tables, they usually don’t play perfect poker.
After my latest mistake – when I played far too high for my bankroll – I’ve tried to stay at the low-limit games, and it has worked all right. Much thanks to the Xmas-drunk players, many of which live in the U.K. They probably sit there with those Christmas-cracker paper crowns with only one thing in mind: to call as much as possible!
I like to see many flops, but these players absolutely love to see flops. No matter what they hold. I don’t know if Britons drink more than others, and therefore call everything, or if they just are good Christians and want to donate money. Anyway, I appreciate it.
And Jeff, no I haven’t busted … yet.
