Damn!!! I suck!
I earlier claimed that I was going to play accordingly to sensible bankroll management. Yesterday, I abandoned that plan … unfortunately. I was running well and was kicking the crap out of my regular low-limit game. Then I spotted a fish waiting at the $2/$4 limit hold’em table, and I decided to play heads up against him.
After a couple of minutes, I had suffered a string of beats and was forced to leave the table. My latest profit had vanished – just like that.
After such a stupid move, I always feel a bit beaten up. I don’t really care if people suck out on me, but when they suck out, and I lose large parts of my bankroll, I just want to have it all undone. There’s no one to blame but me, and that makes it even worse.
If I keep making unwise decisions, I’ll never reach my goal.
But then I watched the latest episode of High Stakes Poker, which made me happy as a pig in shit – not only because Jamie Gold has left the table, but also because Doyle Brunson started talking about that he had bought the TV-series Shogun on DVD. Hilarious for some reason!
Well, back to $0.05/$0.10 NLHE. Shuffle up and Doyle!
Current bankroll: $240
Rakeback: $74

who’s the fish if you moved up from pennies to less than 12 min buy ins at @2-4??
Your own greed was your demise, most guys who play 2-4 NL have minimum 1k to take the swings.
If you’re playing that high with ony $240-500 was the dumbest move you could have made, you should have moved up to >25-.50 NL MAX!
good luck ..FISH!!

No Jeff. I have to disappoint you. I’m still in the running towards becoming a winning poker player.
