RakeBrain January Update

Happy New Year!

We had an amazing holiday season.

It turns out our local casino serves a free turkey dinner on Christmas Day!!  It was absolutely free…. Didn’t cost us a thing…. How does that place stay in business?!?  We could have walked in there, not gambled anything, and eaten like kings on their dime.

Sure we got really unlucky and lost about $2k playing a little blackjack…..but those guys running our casino over here are complete morons.  Good luck with your ‘quarterly profit sharing’ when you’re giving away $40 dinners for doing absolutely nothing suckers!!

December $5k + $600 Bounty Freeroll

Our exclusive $5000 + $600 bounty freeroll on December 27th was a lesson in variance for Team Rakebrain. Normally we try to let our members at least win a few hands before crushing our tournament's when we have bounty players, but this month we were tilting from some huge losses earlier in the month.

We spent most of the game railing XBLINK on Absolute Poker, because we lent him $11 and he turned it into a million in two months. True story. We also coached him for the last 4 months at half of our usual rate because we thought the kid had talent. Our pot sweetener strategy alone probably made him a few grand, now the guy’s being a bit of a douche bag and not sharing.

So Team RakeBrain ended up losing our own bounty freeroll and 3 of our luckiest members received $200 for putting bad beats us (that’s the way we remember it anyway).  

The payouts for 1^st ($1250 to SECRET_QUADS) 2^nd ($770 to ARRUMADONK) and 3^rd ($525 to BK_DONKWORTH) could have covered our blackjack downswing for December, but it's more of a bottomless pit really when we add up our 2009 martingale loses.

New RakeBrain Site

We actually did something that made us look productive!

Our new rakeback site is about half as good looking as the staff at Rakebrain. And that’s pretty sweet considering how many hot college girls we get.

There are still a few tweaks and adjustments being done, and our support is a little slower than usual due to all the questions we’re receiving about the new features. Our New Year goal is to be ‘somewhat better than the support at Full Tilt Poker,’ so when we set the bar that low we know we'll never fail.  We’re just kidding Full Tilt, and even if we aren’t it’s not like you’d e-mail us about it anyways…..

We have a lot of exclusive promotions this month for all of our members to earn a little extra cash.
